New test_blueprint_config_form_post_round_trip — POSTs a multi-line
config, GETs the page, asserts each line re-renders inside the
textarea. Pins the round-trip the v2 editor's submit-time copy
handler must preserve before any template wiring lands.
Skipped a corresponding test_overlay_script_form_post_contract test
— the existing test_admin_creates_system_wide_script_overlay at
test_script_overlay_routes.py:~270 already asserts
overlay.script == "echo admin" after a POST /overlays/<id>/script,
which is the same form-contract pin. YAGNI; no need to duplicate.

The contenteditable + CodeJar + Prism approach (Tasks 1-12 + 4 smoke
fixes shipped this session) hit too many contenteditable edge cases to
ship:
- Copy collapses multi-line selections to one line (Selection.toString()
doesn't reliably reconstruct newlines across Prism's tokenized <span>
topology).
- Enter sometimes requires two presses + cursor color shifts (caret
lands "between" sibling tokenized spans; first Enter shifts it into
a real text node, second actually inserts).
- Cascade of earlier bugs already fixed (cursor jumped to start, then
end; popup-accepted-quote duplicated; popup didn't accept at
end-of-line) were all symptoms of the same root cause: manual Range
API manipulation against tokenized contenteditable DOM is unreliable.
Exiting the sunk-cost path before more fixes accrue. The next attempt
will be a fresh brainstorming session weighing CodeMirror 6 (battle-
tested, accepts a one-time bundler step) vs textarea-overlay (real
<textarea> for editing, passive <pre> highlight, no contenteditable).
Kept (informs the next attempt):
- spec + plan documents in docs/superpowers/
- Playwright scaffolding (conftest + smoke test) + dev deps + e2e marker
- scripts/dev-server.py (independent of editor approach)
- AGENTS.md sandbox + Chromium Mach-port notes
Removed:
- editor JS (editor.js, srccfg-grammar.js)
- editor CSS (editor.css)
- vendored CodeJar + Prism + README
- srccfg vocab data
- editor partial (_editor_assets.html)
- template wiring (data-editor-language attributes, asset partial includes,
files-editor language <select>)
- files-overlay.js editor bridge (setEditorContent helper, dropdown
listener, filename-handler auto-redetect, dropdown reset)
- tokens.css syntax-color additions (dead without the editor)
- form-contract tests in test_blueprints.py + test_script_overlay_routes.py
- the editor-specific Playwright test (test_editor.py)
- create-blueprint modal trim that was tied to editor UX (Arguments +
Config textareas restored)

Prism's stock theme has
code[class*=language-] { color:#000; background:transparent; }
at specificity (0,1,1), which beats our .editor-code (0,1,0). Result:
the editor's background was transparent and base text was #000, leaving
black-on-dark text in dark mode (unreadable).
We override every Prism token class we use (.token.comment / .string /
.keyword / .number / .operator / .identifier) via theme-aware
--color-* tokens defined in both :root and the
@media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) block of tokens.css, so prism.css
contributes nothing of value. Drop the <link> from _editor_assets.html.
Flip the form-contract tests to assert prism.css is NOT in the body so
a future accidental re-add is caught.

The plan template (and verbatim implementation) listed five of the six
editor asset URLs in the structural test — vendor/prism.css was
omitted. If a future change drops the Prism stylesheet from the
partial, syntax tokens lose their color rules silently and the test
still passes. Add the missing assertion and update the plan to match.
Addresses Minor #1 from the Task 6 code review.

The textarea is preserved as the form field; the editor renders a
contenteditable sibling and mirrors content back on every input. Form
POST contract is untouched (covered by new round-trip test).
load_current_user now treats a session whose pw_changed_at marker
is missing, malformed, or older than the user's current
password_changed_at as logged-out. Same shape as the existing
user.active check.
Forced fan-out updates to every test fixture that forges a session
via session_transaction(): each now stamps a current pw_changed_at
marker. test_deactivated_user_existing_session_invalidated keeps
its meaning — the deactivation still flips the user to inactive,
and load_current_user rejects the session via the user.active
branch before reaching the freshness branch.

Each linked overlay gets a checkbox on the blueprint detail page that opts
its server.cfg in as exec server_overlay_<id>. The web app builds the
spec with {path, alias} per overlay and prepends exec server_overlay_<id>
lines to the blueprint config in lowest-overlay-first order. The host
stages those copies in the overlayfs upper layer before mounting (avoids
copy-up writes against a sandbox-uid file). A live preview block above the
Config textarea shows what gets auto-executed.
Schema:
- alembic 0007: BlueprintOverlay.expose_server_cfg BOOLEAN
Spec contract:
- l4d2host OverlayRef(path, alias?). load_spec accepts both bare-string
and {path, alias} entries.
Side effects folded in (same file in l4d2_facade):
- start_server auto-initializes; the manual Initialize step is no longer
needed before Start.
- initialize_server no longer runs blueprint builders — builds happen on
overlay save, not on every server Start.

Replace the per-row checkbox + numeric Order table on the blueprint
detail page with a drag-to-reorder list of selected overlays plus a
native <select> for adding more. Removing uses an × button per row;
the option sorted-inserts back into the dropdown alphabetically.
Native HTML5 drag-and-drop, no library, no JS-disabled fallback.
Server contract is unchanged: each list row owns one hidden
<input name="overlay_ids">, DOM order = submission order, and the
existing fallback_position branch in ordered_overlay_ids_from_form
absorbs the now-omitted overlay_position_<id> fields.

Adds two managed system overlays (l4d2center-maps, cedapug-maps) that
fetch curated map archives from upstream sources and reconcile addons
symlinks for non-Steam maps. A daily systemd timer enqueues a coalesced
refresh_global_overlays worker job; downloads, extraction, and rebuilds
run in the existing job worker and surface in the job log UI.
Schema: GlobalOverlaySource / GlobalOverlayItem / GlobalOverlayItemFile
plus nullable Job.user_id so system jobs render as "system" in the UI.
The new builder reconciles symlinks against the per-source vpk cache
and leaves foreign symlinks untouched. Initialize-time guard refuses
to mount a partial overlay if any expected vpk is missing from cache.
Refresh service uses shutil.move to handle EXDEV when /tmp and the
cache live on different filesystems.

- Native <dialog> modal infra (CSS + ~30 LOC JS, no framework) used for
create forms and delete confirmations.
- Index pages become listing-only: + Create button opens a modal; the
broken blueprint Actions column and inline overlay edit cells are gone.
- Server detail gains a blueprint reassignment form; existing Delete
button now opens a confirmation modal before tearing down the runtime.
- Blueprint detail gains a Delete button + confirmation modal (was
unreachable from the UI before).
- New overlay detail page at /overlays/<id> with edit form, "Used by"
blueprints list, and delete (admin only).
- Server create: port field is now optional; backend auto-assigns the
next free port from LEFT4ME_PORT_RANGE_START/_END (default
27015-27115). 409 on range exhaustion.
- New routes: POST /blueprints/<id>/delete (form sentinel matching
overlays pattern), POST /servers/<id> (form-friendly blueprint
reassign), GET /overlays/<id>.
- Server delete operation now redirects to /servers; overlay update
redirects to /overlays/<id>.
Server rename remains unsupported pending an id-vs-name design pass for
l4d2host (the runtime directory is name-keyed; renaming would orphan
files).
